Coloring Tips
- Scale gradient technique: first use light yellow as the base scale, then use orange to gradually paint from the edge to the inside, and finally use gold to embellish the center of the scale to create a shining effect.
- Flame layering method: Use red-orange-yellow to overlap from the inside to the outside, use dark red inside, and the color becomes lighter as you go out, and finally use white to point out the brightest tip of the flame.
- Wing texture processing: Use a light-colored pencil to lightly outline the blood vessel texture on the wing membrane, and then color the whole thing, so that the texture will appear naturally.
- Dragon eye dot method: first use dark red to paint the entire eyeball, leaving a highlight, then use black to draw the vertical pupil, and finally use white to point out the reflection to make the eyes more vivid.
- Shadows enhance the three-dimensional effect: Use gray or dark colors to lightly sweep out shadows under the dragon’s body and on the folds of the wings. Note that the light source should come from the direction of the sun.
